Our alumni: Driving the entrepreneurial ecosystem

Greenit
In 2020, three CMU-Q graduates came together with an idea: to make choosing, buying and caring for plants in Qatar a smooth and seamless process. Today their startup, Greenit, is delivering plants all over Qatar, and helping new and seasoned gardeners alike to make their spaces more green.

Rana El-Sakhawy
Rana El-Sakhawy (BA 2009) created Monkibox, a subscription service for parents of young children. Navigating the entrepreneurial landscape of the Middle East, her Dubai-based company has just launched its own line of toys for different developmental stages.

Ognjen Popović
As the Assistant Minister, Financial Service Department of Serbia, Ognjen Popović (BA 2013) is creating a climate that will encourage Serbian startups to grow and flourish.

Entrepreneurship starts with a mindset: seeing the potential opportunities and problems around you and believing in yourself as a change maker. We teach our students the mindset to see the opportunities and challenges around them, wherever they are, and then we equip them with the skills and show them the tools which would help them make a difference.
